To the festival director; I am interested in the opportunity to work with you at your festival as a street performer. I am a solo classical guitarist. I play a mixture of classical, jazz, brazilian, flamenco and pop music at juried art fairs across the country. I do this free of charge. I have my CDs available for the patrons in a low profile format. Patrons can make purchases at a self service table. I am self contained, not requiring electricity or a stage. Directors place me with the artists in a space where I may play (quietly, with breaks) for the duration of the show (i.e. 10 to 5, Saturday and Sunday). There are three principles that I follow religiously as an art fair entertainer. First, I adhere strictly to the rules and guidelines set by the director. Furthermore, I endeavor to be sensitive to the artists and play music that is deliberately quiet and ambient. I try to create a heart warming and inspiring atmosphere that does not distract, but rather enhances the artist's interaction with their customers. To that end I vary my pieces throughout the day, so as to create as diverse a program as possible. Finally, I strive to use my intuition to play music that has real meaning for the patrons and complements the notion that that they are attending the highest quality event. There are music samples, videos, quotes, biography, and my tour and contact information on the site. I hope you enjoy the music. Thank you for your interest and for taking the time to check out my work. And thank you for your work in keeping alive the importance of a high quality juried art show in your community. Sincerely; |
